The Basics
The Catawba Terrace Care Center is a 501c3 ministry of the Westminster Presbyterian Church Diaconate. Our volunteers are the heartbeat of our ministry and make it possible to serve our neighbors. The time commitment is minimal – an average of 1-2 hours per month.

Volunteer Opportunities:
Food Deliverer:
Our Food Pantry is in need of a food deliverer for the following weeks:
The 2nd Saturday of each month. Our deliverers typically deliver food to three families in the Rock Hill area.
Food is picked up at the Care Center anytime between 8am and 8:45 am on Saturday and delivered to the families.
Commitment: We have to options to choose from. The FIRST Saturday of each month or the THIRD Saturday of each month. It takes approximately 1 hour to deliver the food
Food Pick Up – At Food Lion Ebenezer Road
Food Lion donates food to the Care Center every Monday at 10 am, with pick-up at the Ebenezer Road location in Rock Hill. We’re looking for volunteers to help with this by picking up the donations on one Monday each month. You would pick up on the same Monday each month (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th). If something comes up, we have substitutes available, or you can switch weeks with another volunteer.
Commitment: Approximately 30 minutes one Monday a month.
Food Shopper
Food Shoppers pick up food from Second Harvest Food Bank in Charlotte and bring it back to the Care Center. Food Shoppers choose their week to shop and shop once per month. Shopping is by appointment only and can be done at the shoppers convenience Monday – Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.
Commitment: Approximately 3 hours, one week a month.
Kids Club
Our Saturday Morning Kids Club ministry seeks to build meaningful relationships and share the Gospel with children in Catawba Terrace and surrounding areas.
Commitment: 1 Saturday per month from 9am-12pm.
